Cub Scouting is a year-round family program designed for youth who are about 7-10 years old (first grade through fifth grade). Parents, leaders, and organizations work together to achieve the purposes of Cub Scouting. Boy Scouting is a year-round program for boys around ages 11-17 (starts in grade 6 or at age 11 for those not transferring in direct from Cub Scouting). Through the Boy Scout program, young men can achieve the core objectives of strengthening character, personal fitness and good citizenship.
